LOS LÍMITES DEL SIGNO O THE LIMITS OF THE SYMBOL

Si la revolución permanece en el orden simbólico no es todavía una revolución: la revolución es fundamentalmente existencial, algo que es vivido, experimentando más allá de los límites del símbolo. Los símbolos están hechos para el exterior, por lo tanto son superficiales. Por ejemplo, el cristianismo fue "una revolución", un nuevo mundo lleno de símbolos; sin embargo los así llamados cristianos casi nunca vivieron su cristiandad: su lenguaje era una cosa y su existencia algo totalmente distinto.
